Earlier today there was an update that i did before packing my pc up and taking it back to my house, when i got home i found out my tv wasnt taking the hdmi signal at all. I checked with my gaming consoles and bam the tv lighted up with the games running but my pc won't even show. I tried methods like unplugging the pc and plugging back in, i also seen people saying to go to settings this and that but im not able to if I can't see my screen. If you have any solutions i am all ears!

I cleaned it out really good and i made sure to clean out the ports and to my suprise it came back on!

I dont know if i should worry or not because i believe it was dust within the ram slots and stuff.

It's good that everything is back to normal. If the problem was just dust then you shouldn't be worried. I will mark your question as closed ok?

Sounds great but see my tv wont won't show my home screen or desk

top. I wouldnt be able to see the settings that i am clicking on. Thats the main issue im having. Is there any other way to do this that doesnt require me to look at a screen? Maybe like a hotkey press or something.

-Edit: i been searching around and it could potentially be my power supply

Hi! My name is Anderson Souza. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, I'll be glad to help you today.

You can try to do a system restore to undo the update that caused the problem. In the link below is an official guide from Microsoft showing how to perform this procedure:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-nz/help/12415/...

These are the options you are currently looking for?

1 - Remove an installed Windows update

2 - Restore from a system restore point (choose a date prior to the problem if available).
