My screen turns red when I capture a screenshot.

My screen turns red when I capture a screenshot. How can I turn it off? I haven't changed any settings; yesterday it was fine. I tried using different snipping tools, and the regular PrtSc button. All red.

I have the night mode off, and everything else is regular.

    Hi Wiki_768

I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

Take actions related to Display Driver as the first level of troubleshooting

Windows Key+X > Click Device Manager > Expand Display Adapter > Right click on entry below >

    A. Rollback the Driver

Click Properties > Go to Driver tab > If there is rollback option, click it

    B. Update driver from manufacturer's website

Go to the website of the driver's manufacturer or computer's manufacturer > See if some driver is released for your model and OS > If yes, download that > In previous option, click Uninstall > Install the downloaded driver > Restart your computer

You will need to restart your computer after the above steps.

Edit - IF YOU HAVE LENOVO

This is a direct result of an update to the Lenovo Application named Lenovo Vantage and the Eye Care mode feature. See the following Lenovo documentation for resolution.

    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Vantage-Knowledge-Base/Screenshots-and-Snips-have-an-unnatural-orange-tint/ta-p/4522439

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.

To resolve this, I typed System configuration in Cortana, accessed the Services tab and unchecked all AMD and Lenovo boxes. Then I did a full restart.

    It worked for me.

Note : I do not know which one of the two is responsbile, but I suspect Lenovo vantage to be behind it, as it has a night mode. It could also have to do with Windows animations.

Have you tried holding down the Windows key and then the print screen key.

The look in File Explorer, Pictures, Screenshots.

    Also;

What OS build are you on?  Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.

    Or Windows key+r, winver, OK

    Hi,

I am having the same problem, or maybe a bit worse.

When I start Windows, the login screen looks good, but when I put my credentials and the desktop is shown, it gradually starts turning red. The only element that remains with the correct colour is the mouse pointer.

This is an example of how my screen looks like while reading this post.

My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 710-14ISK with Intel Core i5 and Intel HD Graphics 520. I tried downloading the latest driver with Intel Driver & Support Assistant but it doesn't work. It was able to detect a new driver but it can't install it. As the alert is in Spanish I'll translate it:

It basically says that I have to get the driver from my manufacturer, but I couldn't find anything in https://pcsupport.lenovo.com

    What can I do?
