Currently I am unable to access a site that was being access only an hour prior. The errors we are getting is:

Hmmm… can't reach this page

It looks like the webpage at https://@##@@.sharepoint.com/sites/@#@!!# might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

I can see the site in the admin center but even clicking on the site from there gets the same error.

    Hi Geoffrey,

When you try to access a SharePoint site through Microsoft Teams or your web browser, you receive the following error message:

    This site can't be reached

The webpage at (URL) might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

The general cause of the error is that the homepage of the SharePoint site might have been deleted. To confirm if this is the case, try accessing the other parts of the site such as Site Content or default document library or Pages.

To access site content of the affected site, go to https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/_layouts/15/viewlsts.aspx?view=14 replace tenant and site name with your tenant and site respectively.

    Document Library : https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx

Access the above locations, see if you still get the error. In case you can access the above locations without any error, this indicates your site is fine but for some reason, the home page is deleted.

In this case, I’ll suggest you make another page as your homepage from Page library. For this, follow the steps below:

    1. Go to https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/ SiteName /SitePages/Forms/ByAuthor.aspx
    2. Click the vertical ellipses next to the page title, and then click Make homepage.

Reference: Use a different page for your SharePoint site home page (microsoft.com)

If you haven't already created a page, you can do so by following the steps below:

    1. Go to https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/ SiteName /SitePages/Forms/ByAuthor.aspx
    2. Click New>Site Page
    3. Add a page title.

If the issue persist, please feel free to post back.

    Regards,

    Neha

This worked perfectly, the only slight difference was that when I went to SitePages/Forms/ByAuthor.aspx I was able to use the original home page and it succesfully restored access when clicking 'Make Homepage'.

    Thanks,
