Hello, I’m experiencing a persistent Run-time error '4707': Undefined dialogue record field every time I launch Microsoft Word on my Mac. This error appears immediately, even before opening any document, and prevents me from interacting with the application. I have taken the following steps to troubleshoot the issue: Restarted my Mac. Fully uninstalled and reinstalled Word via the Mac App Store. Deleted the Normal.dotm template and cleared all macro-related startup folders. Removed Microsoft Word preferences from ~/Library/Preferences , Application Support , Verified that the issue does not occur on my iPhone or iPad (Word works fine there). Confirmed that PowerPoint and Excel on the same Mac do not have this issue.

@ Lonex - if you read the thread you will see that Carlos provided the correct answer and the issue has been resolved.

Try creating a new user account (System Settings>Users & Groups), signing in to that, then testing if the problem still exists. If it goes away, it's an issue with the user profile part of your Office installation. If the issue still exists, or you'd rather not move your user data to a new profile, try uninstalling Office following these steps: Uninstall Office for Mac Then reinstall from the Subscriptions page of your Microsoft account .

I had the same problem. I solved it by completely closing the Word Application, going to the folder in "~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word", deleting the Zotero.dotm file and then it worked.

Hi. I had the same problem. But instead of delete the zotero plugin, I delete the linkCreation plug and then it worked.
