    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

To switch from split screen to full screen in Windows 10, you have a few options depending on how you entered split screen mode. Here are some methods to try:

    1. Using the Maximize Button

    • Hover over the top of the window you want to make full screen.
    • You should see the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons appear. Click the Maximize button (middle button) to switch that window to full screen.

    2. Dragging the Window

    • Click and hold the title bar of the window you want to make full screen.
    • Drag it to the center of your screen. Once it is not touching any of the screen edges, let go.
    • Then, click the Maximize button on the top right corner of the window.

    3. Using Keyboard Shortcuts

    • Click on the window you want to make full screen to make sure it is the active window.
    • Press  Windows key + Up arrow  key to maximize the window to full screen.

    4. Exiting Snap Assist

    • If you are using Windows Snap Assist to split your screen, you can exit this by maximizing one of the windows as described above, or by dragging the dividing line to the edge of the screen.

    5. Adjusting Display Settings (for Extended Displays)

    • If you are using multiple monitors and want a window to span across all screens, this typically requires third-party software as Windows natively handles each monitor as a separate entity.

    6. Close and Reopen the Application

    • If all else fails, close the application window that is stuck in split screen and reopen it. Often, it will open in full screen or in a maximizable window.

The behavior can slightly differ based on the application you're trying to make full screen. Some applications, especially video players and games, might have their own settings or shortcuts for full-screen mode, usually found in their View or Settings menus.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards
