Cannot add Teams meeting to a single occurrence of a series

Hello,

We have a new issue - when a Delegate tries to convert a single occurrence in a series to a Teams meeting she gets a message telling her she must convert the entire series to a Teams meeting.  (""This is one appointment in a series. To make it an online meeting, open the meeting series and try again.")

She does not want to change the entire series to a Teams meeting.

She states that she was able to do this until about a week ago.  When opening a recurring meeting, she would get prompted and choose the single occurrence then proceed to add the Teams meeting to this single event only.

We are also in the process of moving users from Islands to Teams-only mode and I'm not sure if she was recently moved to TeamsOnly.

Same behavior as described in this locked & unanswered thread - except ours is a Win10 environment:

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you,

Brett

Just received an update from Microsoft:

Due to the popular demand Teams engineering team decided to re-enable this feature. According to Teams engineering team that they have reverted this feature on Sep 14th.

Restart Outlook/Teams apps and check if there's any difference

I love it when we all make noise together and it works! :)

We are seeing the bug (feature?!) resolved as well. Thanks, Microsoft!

    Hi All,

Thanks for your feedback. Based on my research, this problem might be caused by recent Teams add-in update, please temporarily use OWA as a workaround. If you need more details about the change, please feel free to let me know, I will show you how to move on further in Private Message, your understanding is appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Betty

    Hi Betty,

Thanks for your message. We have a number of users in corporate account having this issue, which only started about a month ago. Please advise how this can be fixed.

I cannot update the Outlook version since it is handled as organisation due to corporate account.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards,

    MB_106

The user with the problem in our environment also had shared calendars and is a Delegate for several others.

    Hi Brett G G,

I have just tried to change an occurrence of a series to a Teams meeting on Outlook Web App, and it works. From your thread, you are using Microsoft 365 for Business account, right? I recommend you could also go to there and test if you could work it out. Double-click to open the event, then click Edit > This event at the top corner, then open Teams meeting button and click Send button to send the updates. Hope it helps you.

    Kind Regards,

    Betty
