Brand new laptop, I want to add Office 365 to my family members laptop, it is already installed on her old laptop (which is still functional by the way).

Thanks in advance!

Hi Robert, re: 'more than likely using the email address I used to send the invite?' I don't think so as it would not work, well it would, but they would be able to see all your files, as the computer would act as though you had used it as yours. But it would not work properly because of the log in on the computer with the other family member. It would be a mess. They MUST use their own Microsoft Account. Hope you get sorted.

    Thanks Ron,

I'll assume that when I first invited them (who knows how long ago :-) ) This family member would have created "the Microsoft Account associated with their share" more than likely using the email address I used to send the invite?

I expect they have no idea what their log-in is so we can probably reset their password?

    Thanks for the guidance!!!

    Robert

Hi Robert, the family member should on the new computer sign into the Microsoft Account associated with their share: here: https://account.microsoft.com/services They can download/install from there. Members can install Office on all of their devices.
