Biztalk Server 2006 R2 SP1

I am excited to share the info on SP1 for Biztalk 2006 R2 SP1.

We are all set to sign off on Service Pack1 for Biztalk server 2006 R2.  This should be avaialble for download no later than the first week of Feb.

Here are some of the highlights of this SP and included fixes.

  • Over 120 fixes released on multiple versions all ported into one installation (2004, 2006, backport from 2009)
  • Unified installer for all Biztalk server products including Lob adaptors and Accelerators
  • 6 Design Change Requests that were impelemented on various features of the product
  • Significant enhancement in time to deploy
  • Noticeable improvement in memory footprint for mapping operations using scripting functoids

I will be providing a more detailed update on each of the enhancements made in SP1 in the coming days.
