Should Santa carry a GPS-enabled Windows Mobile Pocket PC?

There is an interesting thread in the Mobility MVP's discussion list about how it would be easier to track Santa during Christmas Eve if he happen to carry a GPS-enabled Windows Mobile based device :-)

It all started when Mike Zintel brought us this info about NORAD using a complex network of satellites and cameras to track Santa's progress around the world. And they have been doing it for the last 50 years! Then, Richard Greenberg informed us that MS has tried to get Santa to carry a Pocket PC with GPS running a simple .Net CF 2.0 application that would report his location directly (probably through a simple XML web service) - however it seems Santa is too much of a traditionalist and we could also ran into battery limitations (as of today, we couldn't get the PPC to recharge solely off of Christmas Spirit). I would add Messaging & Security Feature Pack to that device, so Santa could be instantlly informed of new emails, schedule and contacts changes through DirectPush, as well as, being able to remote wipe the device in case he forgets it in one of his stops :-)

I've been informed that some of you have pictures of Santa actually using a WM device! If that's the case, please send them to me and I will publish them (with your credits, off course :-)

I would like to wish you all Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and best of lucks in the New Year!!!

Thanks for this great year!
