Moof.....

Last week we launched our Moof.mobi blog... moof is a term which we are using to promote next generation and flexible working... it stands for Mobile Out Of Facility which is a play on the traditional OOF.

Out Of Facility is actually a very old term generated from the old Xenix days - it's been translated into the newer mail systems as Out of Office (even though that would be OOO)

So what is Moof all about - well when I'm out of the office but mobile I actually have more ability to talk with customers and communicate.  Why? Well when I'm in the office I'm normally buried in meetings, similarly when I'm mobile I'm not actually out of the office as my Windows Mobile devices gives me the ability to work remotely.

Our MOOF.mobi blog is focusing on discussing the opportunities and challenges presented by mobile and flexible working - it'd be great to see thoughts people have in this area as it is certainly one that generates a lot of discussion.
