Sights from CEDIA 2008!

I was on the show floor today at CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association) Expo 2008, in Denver Colorado! From the home theater aficionado to the guy who needs the dummies book, this is one of the cooler trade shows out there. from 103" Plasma Screens to transducer speaker systems, virtually everything you could ever want/need/desire for a home theater was there. I met with one of our embedded partners Crestron, who is the world leader in automation and multimedia products for commercial and home application. one of the Windows Embedded Products they use is the TPMC-8X - an 8" touch panel PC that runs XP Embedded under the Hood! very slick product. One of their new flagship products being launched at the show was the ADMS (Adagio Digital Media System). Here's a link to the press release. Cool product... I want one! And what, do you ask, operating system -

why it's Windows Vista! smile_wink

Here's an aerial picture of Crestron's booth (it's hard to make out the name, but it's the one with the big blue ring that's like 4 times the size of any other booth there. You can figure it out!)

Crestron is a finalist for several show awards, one of which is for the ADMS - keep your fingers crossed! fingerscrossed Good Luck Crestron!

The Microsoft eHome Team was on hand too showing off the latest Media Center, Home Server, and Media Center Extender solutions from our Partners! I'll post up some pictures later.

Enjoy!
