Las Vegas was Hot and Expensive

Suzy and I are back from our whirl-wind trip to Las Vegas. The Sousa on the Strip performance was very interesting and this is my second favorite gig since I started playing the sax again four years ago.

Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Good! It got up to 118 degrees. Sometimes the city would deign to cool down to a mild 95 degrees by morning. And the crowds are astonishing. Every event we went to, the Blue Man Group, the Body, and the Cirque du Soleil The Beatles Love were sold out to the last seat, even on less busy days like Sunday.

The features shows started at $125 and for that price the seats still would be at the back of the theater. But even with the heat, crowds, and price, the town was hopping. It may be a while before Suzy and I return to Vegas. But don't cry for us, we still have lots of places to see, like Hawaii.
