UK: Charity DesignIT
DesignIT for a charity
Many IT professionals in the UK dedicate their time to a charity, either officially or on a voluntary basis, and this category offers you the opportunity to submit a proposed system design that will benefit them further. In keeping with the often limited resources of a charity, the budget for this system design must not exceed £15,000, requiring you to demonstrate ingenuity together with cost savings. A team of Microsoft technical specialists will then work with the winner to implement their system, with the runners up receiving software for their chosen charities.
DesignIT for a charity prizes:
Winner
The winner from DesignIT for a charity will be awarded the opportunity to have their system design implemented by Microsoft for their chosen charity
Runners up
The four finalists that are runners up in the public vote will be awarded £1,000 worth of Microsoft desktop software for their chosen charity
The ten short listed designs will be exhibited in the DesignIT exhibition commencing 30 May 2006. The exhibition will be held at the Arndean Gallery, London
