TechEd Developers - Almost like being there. *Almost*
My colleague Paul Foster recently took on a new role as an "Enthusiast Evangelist". Now TBH (don't tell Paul) I don't really know what an enthusiast evangelist is or does. But to be fair, that's probably a true reflection of my perspective on many of my colleagues :-). Anyway, I must ask Paul about it next time I see him because he is indeed one very articulate and "listenable to" individual. I caught a bit of Clive James on Radio 4 this morning recounting stories of interviewing the likes of Richard Burton, Burt Lancaster, Robert Mitchum and Peter Sellers - fantastic stuff BTW - and he described a type of person (in this case Robert Mitchum) who you just couldn't help but listen to. A type of person who commanded 100% of your attention.
Well Paul is nothing like that but he's a jolly good presenter all the same (come on Paul, you didn't expect me to put you up there with Robert Mitchum did you?).
Anyway, check him out at TechEd Developers interviewing the likes of Eric Rudder and Anders Hejlsberg. I particularly liked the "Super, super, super exciting Day 1!" comment which features the key announcements of Day 1.
