Windows Phone Tip–Quickly get your phone on Mute

I got this great little tip from a colleague.

Putting your phone on mute:

 

  1. Press the volume button and tap the Ring icon (a bell in a circle)
  2. The icon changes to Vibrate (3 wavy lines)  to show that the phone is muted.
  3. Repeat the process to turn the ring on again

Of course this can be done without unlocking your phone.
