It’s amazing what a decade or more of web design can do. The Telegraph shows us today how 20 popular websites looked when they launched. That’s Apple.com up above and here is a screenshot I took of it just now
Back when I used to write HTML in notepad by hand, there wasn’t much to play with and you spent half of your time creating transparent GIF’s that would display well on the default slate gray web page. Then the background colour option came in and things got easier…well, until the trendy black phase. Then we got CSS, I got FrontPage and the web editing world sped past me.
