I'm on my way to Santa Barbara

Tomorrow at the lovely hour of 7:25am I get on an airplane and head down to Santa Barbara for a Tech Talk at the University of California - Santa Barbara. I was at UCSD last month, so with this trip I'll have knocked out two letters of the alphabet from the UCS* group

What is a Tech Talk? Well, it's pretty much a college recruiting trip. Pizza and drinks are brought in and the recruiters send down a box with giveaways, and I talk for an hour. My presentations are definitely a bit different than the norm: I use a bunch of photographs to tell people my history in Windows Mobile. I bring old hardware that still works (anyone out there remember Handheld PC 1.0?), as well as new hardware with cool games and music (Kelly is my American Idol!).

Of course trips can always be stressful, and this one is proving to be problematic from the start. I can't seem to track down our Wolfvision so I can show the devices to the people that show up. I was chatting with Robert by IM tonight and it clicked that I can actually use the Remote Display tool from our developer power toys to show the UI on my laptop. Not ideal, but better than nothing.
