Announcing New Data and AI Certifications from Microsoft: What They Are and How to Earn One

Microsoft is announcing the release of three job-role based Azure data and AI certifications, focused on validating your skills in cutting-edge technologies that are changing how organizations think about and leverage data in their digital transformation journey. Now more than ever, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to drive insights for data-driven decisions is key to an organization’s competitive advantage. With data becoming so accessible to everyone, organizations need to ensure that that their data is hygienic and unified, and that users have access to up-to-the-minute insights that allow them to make informed decisions that drive their businesses forward. These emergent trends underscore the critical importance of strong and proven skills in the data and AI space—competitive skills that are increasingly difficult for employers to find (IDC, 2017*).

On January 31, 2019, three new Azure data and AI certifications are launching (in beta):

Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (one exam, AI-100)

Learn to design scalable solutions that harness the power of Azure and AI to modernize business operations, from revolutionizing AI integrated solutions through cognitive services, machine learning and knowledge mining. Prove and understand what it takes to design and implement scalable AI solutions using Azure. Learn more about this certification.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate (one exam, DP-100)

If you’re a data science deep-diver, this is the certification program for you. Companies rely on well-defined and ever evolving machine learning models and algorithms that drive insights and predict their business outcome or solve a complex problem through the power of data science. Demonstrate that you have the skills to unlock insights, assess advanced statistics and machine learning, to keep your company a step ahead of the competition. Learn more about this certification.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (two exams, DP-200 and DP-201)
Combining data assets, building out a design across structural, non-structural and streaming data sets allows organizations to build a data solution that provides them with the business insights to be competitive in nowadays market. This certification will prove you have the skills to ensure that you know how to design and implement cloud-based and hybrid data solutions and design for reliability, performance and scale. Learn more about this certification.
