Char.INumberBase<Char>.TryConvertToSaturating<TOther> Method

Definition

Tries to convert an instance of the the current type to another type, saturating any values that fall outside the representable range of the current type.

generic <typename TOther>
 where TOther : System::Numerics::INumberBase<TOther> static bool System.Numerics.INumberBase<System.Char>.TryConvertToSaturating(char value, [Runtime::InteropServices::Out] TOther % result) = System::Numerics::INumberBase<char>::TryConvertToSaturating;
static bool INumberBase<char>.TryConvertToSaturating<TOther> (char value, out TOther result) where TOther : System.Numerics.INumberBase<TOther>;
static member System.Numerics.INumberBase<System.Char>.TryConvertToSaturating : char * 'Other -> bool (requires 'Other :> System.Numerics.INumberBase<'Other>)
 Shared Function TryConvertToSaturating(Of TOther As INumberBase(Of TOther)) (value As Char, ByRef result As TOther) As Boolean Implements INumberBase(Of Char).TryConvertToSaturating

Char

The value that's used to create the instance of TOther.

result
TOther

When this method returns, contains an instance of TOther converted from value.
