DirectoryServer.MoveToAnotherSite(String) Method

Moves the directory server to another site within the forest or configuration set.

public void MoveToAnotherSite(string siteName);

Parameters

siteName
String

The name of the site within the domain to which to move the directory server.

Exceptions

A call to the underlying directory service resulted in an error.

siteName is null.

siteName is an empty string.

The object has been disposed.

Remarks

If the directory server is a domain controller, this method will move the domain controller to a different site in the forest. If the directory server is an AD LDS instance, this method will move the AD LDS instance to a different site in the configuration set.
