Int128.MinMagnitude(Int128, Int128) Method

Definition

Compares two values to compute which is lesser.

public:
 static Int128 MinMagnitude(Int128 x, Int128 y) = System::Numerics::INumberBase<Int128>::MinMagnitude;
public static Int128 MinMagnitude (Int128 x, Int128 y);
static member MinMagnitude : Int128 * Int128 -> Int128
Public Shared Function MinMagnitude (x As Int128, y As Int128) As Int128

Parameters

x
Int128

The value to compare with y.

y
Int128

The value to compare with x.

Returns

x if it is less than y; otherwise, y.

Remarks

For IFloatingPointIeee754<TSelf> this method matches the IEEE 754:2019 minimumMagnitude function. This requires NaN inputs to be propagated back to the caller and for -0.0 to be treated as less than +0.0.
