protected:
 virtual void OnBeginningEdit(System::Windows::Controls::DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnBeginningEdit (System.Windows.Controls.DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs e);
abstract member OnBeginningEdit : System.Windows.Controls.DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnBeginningEdit : System.Windows.Controls.DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnBeginningEdit (e As DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs)

Parameters

e
DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs

The data for the event.

Remarks

This method enables derived classes to prevent the cell from entering edit mode.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnBeginningEdit method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnBeginningEdit(DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class' OnBeginningEdit(DataGridBeginningEditEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
