UpDownBase.OnTextBoxResize(Object, EventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the Resize event.

C#
protected virtual void OnTextBoxResize(object source, EventArgs e);
C#
protected virtual void OnTextBoxResize(object? source, EventArgs e);

Parameters

source
Object

The source of the event.

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

This method adjusts the size of the spin box (also known as an up-down control) when the text box portion of the control is resized.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnTextBoxResize method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnTextBoxResize(Object, EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnTextBoxResize(Object, EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
