Overview

With the October 2018 release, Microsoft Dynamics NAV was renamed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises to be united under the Dynamics 365 Business Central brand. The April 2019 release of Business Central delivers a wealth of new features and capabilities, described here in the April 2019 Release Notes. Dynamics NAV customers upgrading to Business Central on premises will enjoy the unique flexibility to continue running on premises, move to the cloud, or adopt a hybrid approach. Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premise April 2019 release can be ordered online using Order Central starting April 2, 2019.

Customers with a Microsoft Dynamics NAV license and an active Enhancement plan can transition to Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises via License Migration Transition Upgrade (LMTU). Customers with a Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics SL, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations on-premises, Microsoft Dynamics C5 2012, or legacy products listed in the Dynamics Transition Policy, with an active Enhancement plan can transition to Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises via Product Line Transition. ​
