You do not need to install the 2020-year end updates before installing the 2021 updates. Installation
Verify that you are installing the correct Microsoft Dynamics SL release by selecting Help | About from the menu bar to display information about your current release. Ensure that all users are logged off before you install these updates. Make a complete backup of your system database, all application databases, and customized reports. Locate the installation instructions and files in the files SL 2018 version you are required to install.

Microsoft Dynamics SL Year-End Update 2021: NEW 1099-NEC
When printing the new NEC 1099 three-part form, the alignment can be off with some specific fields.
Environmental factors may be causing issues such as printer drivers along with individual printer settings. As such, we’ve created some additional report format files that may work better for your environment. Please test and feel free to use these files as is and as needed. Please note you may still need to adjust some fields:
Scenario 1: The 1099-NEC alignment is off when printing in SL 2018, 2018 CU1, 2018 CU2 or 2018 CU3.
