Business value
IT and non-IT admins can now purchase a Marketing license directly from the trial experience. After the purchase, you are directed back to the trial where you can elect to immediately apply the license to convert the trial to a paid, production environment. This preserves all of the content you created during the trial.
Feature details
With the direct purchase experience:
- You are offered the appropriate Marketing SKU based on the prerequisite products on your company's tenant. If the tenant has no prerequisite products, you are presented with the base Dynamics 365 Marketing offer. If the tenant has a prerequisite Dynamics 365 offer but no Dynamics 365 Marketing offer, you are presented with the Dynamics 365 Marketing Attach offer at a discounted price. If the tenant has a prequalifying Dynamics 365 Marketing offer, you are presented with the Dynamics 365 Marketing Additional Production or Additional Non-Production environment offers with discounted pricing.
- You can complete the purchase with a credit card. After the purchase, you are directed back to the trial to use the license.
- Once back in the trial, you are offered the option to activate the trial and apply the newly purchased license, upgrading the trial to a paid environment and allowing you to keep the content you created in the trial. Alternatively, if you want to start over, you can create a new environment from scratch.
This experience makes it easier for any marketing business decision maker to access Dynamics 365 Marketing and start orchestrating their customer journeys to improve their customer experience.
Note
IT admins can disable the ability of non-IT admins to directly purchase Marketing licenses from trial apps.
