This article explains how to use the careers site in the HR Recruiting app in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources.
The careers site helps candidates showcase their skills and qualifications, and stay connected with the hiring process. On the careers site, candidates can create and update their personal profile, upload their resume and other documents, apply for jobs, and track the status of their application. They can also view and accept job offers, provide feedback, and communicate with recruiters.
Important
- This is a preview feature.
- Preview features aren’t meant for production use and might have restricted functionality. These features are subject to supplemental terms of use, and are available before an official release so that customers can get early access and provide feedback.
Sign in to the careers site
Candidates must have an account to sign in to the careers site.
To sign in to the careers site if you already have an account, follow these steps.
- On the home page of the careers site, select Sign in.
- Enter your email address and password.
If you don't yet have an account, select Create one. After an account is created, you're signed in to the careers site.
Note
Before you can sign in or create an account, you must agree to the privacy policy.
An icon that contains the candidate's initials appears in the upper-right corner of the page. This icon indicates that the candidate is signed in. It can also be used to access the candidate's profile and settings.
Note
When a user selects the Remember me option while logging into their account, the server stores a cookie for future logins. This allows the user to remain logged in without signing in again, as long as they haven't signed out. If the browser closes unexpectedly, the user remains logged in until they manually log out from the session.
Create a profile
To create a profile, follow these steps.
Select the icon in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select My profile.
Select Create profile.
Enter personal details, such as your name, email address, and phone number. Mandatory fields that candidates must fill in are marked with an asterisk (*).
Note
When you enter personal details for the first time, or when you change them later, select Save as draft. The Next button then becomes available. Select Next to move to the next step, where you enter your educational background and work history, and upload a resume.
To enter your educational background, select Add education, fill in all the required fields, and then select Save. You must enter at least one item in your educational background to enable the Next button.
On the Work history tab, select Add work history, fill in all the relevant fields, and then select Save.
If you just graduated from college, or if you have no work history, select the I do not have work history checkbox.
To upload a resume, select Choose file, select the file, and then select Upload.
Select Submit.
After a candidate submits a profile, they can view and edit it as required.
Apply for jobs
The Job tab shows a list of available jobs that a candidate can apply for. The candidate can use the controls on the left to search or filter the results by keywords, location, or job type. They can also select a job title to view more information about the job, such as the description, requirements, and benefits.
To apply for a job, a candidate selects Apply and follows the on-screen instructions. A message notifies the candidate that they successfully applied for the job. The candidate also receives email alerts if the admin set up the email template for the application scenario.
Action center
The Action center tab shows the jobs that a candidate applied for and the progress of each application. The candidate can select any job title to learn more about the job and how to apply for it.
To cancel a job application, the candidate selects Withdraw at the bottom of the job details page.
Candidate profile in the Recruiting add-on
After a candidate creates a profile on the careers site, recruiters can view it in the Recruiting add-on. Recruiters can also view all the applications that the candidate submitted from the careers site.
