Why am I getting the warning "Your language preference on Dynamics 365 differs from your mobile app preference, which might cause data problems and an inconsistent experience. To ensure a seamless experience, use the same language on both platforms"?

Different language preference settings on the Dynamics 365 web application and mobile devices can lead to data and language inconsistencies when your mobile date, time, or number format is different from your web application. For example, commas and decimal points when entering numerical values can vary across geographies. These differences can lead to data entered in a certain format in the mobile application but interpreted and stored in another format on the web application. To avoid this problem, change your individual user preferences so that the language and date, time, and number format are the same on both devices.

This problem can sometimes occur when you type the legal entity selection instead of selecting it from the drop-down. Navigate to Settings -> User Options -> Preferences within the Dynamics 365 web application and select the legal entity from the drop-down.

Where can I go to discuss the app with the community and submit suggestions to Microsoft?

If you want to exchange tips, ask questions, or submit suggestions for improvement, go to the Mobile Experiences channel within the Project Operations Discussions Microsoft Teams channel. Channel participants include Microsoft partners, customers, experts, and employees.

Can I customize or extend the Expense mobile app?

While it's technically possible to extend or customize the Expense mobile app, don't do it. Customizations or extensions are likely to break whenever the app is updated because updates often include new features, enhancements, and bug fixes that might not be compatible with your changes. This incompatibility means you need to redo customizations after every update, adding significant maintenance overhead. Keeping your app updated ensures you always have access to the latest functionality, security improvements, and performance enhancements. Customizations can prevent you from benefiting from these updates and might lead to unexpected problems.
