Business value

Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management has an out-of-the-box integration with Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps via dual-write. When orders are synced from Intelligent Order Management using dual-write, data issues can cause one or more lines of the sales order to not sync with Dynamics 365.

This feature allows business users and administrators to see the exact reason for dual-write failures within Intelligent Order Management at the order line or header, without switching context. This functionality saves troubleshooting time, and if an orchestration step fails, the specific errors are displayed in the orchestration step summary results.

Feature details

This feature allows for an improved orchestration and error-handling experience through the following capabilities:

  • The Sync error field captures the dual-write error at the individual order lines to provide visibility into the exact reasons for the sync failure.
  • The Orchestration step summary displays the exact flow failure reason without the user having to switch to the Microsoft Power Automate flow.
  • The capability to filter out orders with no lines to stop them from syncing to finance and operations apps.
