Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 21084 Release Notes

Service Update 21084 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.2.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 21084.


Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Service Update 21084 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.


  • The tooltip for the "All" control in the pagination section under Accounts within the Customer Service Hub did not accurately describe its purpose.
  • At 400% zoom, the “View Hierarchy” category controls were not displayed and were inaccessible.
  • Screen readers did not announce the “Control + S” tooltip displayed when keyboard focus was over the ‘Save’ button within the Customer Service Hub.
  • When selecting the "change view" lookup menu button to open the list of views in an account record, the lookup menu dialog box did not comply with the ARIA role axe-core 3.5 accessibility requirement.*
  • When selecting the email command bar button in an email grid page and using the email edit form, the lookup field flyout did not comply with the axe-core 3.5 accessibility rule.*
  • When hovering over the "select" button in the share control for an account entity, the color contrast ratio of the button text did not contain the MAS 1.4.11 color contrast ratio requirement of greater than or equal to 3:1.
  • When selecting the 'Add Existing Activity' button in the Customer Service Hub, the lookup dialog box did not comply with the axe-core 3.5 accessibility rule.*

Knowledge Management

  • After opening an article that has an attachment in a pop out window, the attachment did not show in pop out window.

Platform Services

  • When creating a new solution that contained a custom action SDK message, the custom action was not present, and the solution import failed.
  • When sending an email via Exchange from a delegated email address, the sent copy of the email was not tracked in Dynamics following server-side synchronization.


  • Marketing activities were not displayed under the related tab for a lead record.*

Unified Interface

  • System settings dialog did not close when pressing the close or OK button, preventing changes from being made to system settings.*
  • When creating a view or modify an existing view with a "createdby" field, the view could not be filtered based on the "createdby" form field data.*
  • Multi-select option fields added to an entity's view did not correctly filter records.
  • In the Unified Service Desk, the content in the left panel was duplicated from the main content when viewing an account record.
  • After saving a chart in an account entity via ‘Save As,’ the accounts entity grid did not reload and the chart did not appear when selecting from the list of “My Charts.”
  • Rich text editor commands did not display in the Timeline note description.
  • When a filter was applied to an opportunity record search, the table of results only displayed one record at a time when more than one record appeared in “Top results.”
  • When adding a new sub territory and selecting the "view hierarchy" button in the Sales Hub, the hierarchy controls were not visible in the Sales Territories section.

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Platform Services

  • An error occurred for custom entity operations that were created using a partition id that was non-relation provider based.


  • An error occurred when uploading Excel templates within Sales Hub.*
  • An error occurred when creating a Lead record and selecting the associated Activity grid in the Related tab.*
  • An error occurred when creating a business process flow in regard to a contact entity.*

Unified Interface

  • An error occurred after creating a new record and navigating to the next step of the Business Process Flow in a workflow entity.*
  • An error occurred when creating an email template.
  • An error occurred when upgrading the ProjectServiceCore solution to its latest version.*
  • An exception occurred when replying to a comment within an App Module.
  • An error occurred in the Field Service Mobile app while in offline mode for quick view forms on version 1.4.3159-2108.4 and above.
  • An error occurred after reopening an application module after it was previously opened and had been closed.*
  • An error occurred when performing bulk edit operations.*
