Absence statistics (form)

Click Human resources > Inquiries > Absence > Absence statistics.

Use this form to generate statistics about worker absences.

To include or remove a category in the statistics results, double-click on the category name in the Groupings lists. You can use the Up and Down buttons to control the order that the columns are displayed.

You can define a specific period to view statistics for using the options under Date criteria. You also can select an option under Period to see a total for the entire period, or to divide results during the period.

The results are displayed in a grid on the Totals tab. Each column represents a category that you selected from the Groupings list.

You also can click the Graphics tab to view the results in a graph.

You can calculate statistics such as:

  • The distribution of a particular type of absence by the workers' position group or department

  • A comparison of a particular type of absence for different periods

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Refresh the report to reflect recent query modifications.

Inquiry

Open an inquiry form where you can specify the search criteria to limit or expand the number of absence transactions to show statistics for.

Up

Move a category up in the selected Groupings list. The order that the categories are listed in the selected Groupings list determines the order in which the categories are displayed as columns in the grid.

Down

Move a category down one level. The order that the categories are listed in the selected Groupings list determines the order in which the categories are displayed as columns in the grid.

Date interval code

Select the date interval code to use a predefined period of time that absence statistics should be calculated.

From date

Select the first date of the period that absence statistics should be calculated. If you already selected a date interval code, this field is already filled in.

To date

Select the last date of the period absence statistics should be calculated. If you already selected a date interval code, this field is already filled in.

Period

To shorten a longer period, select a different length for the current interval from the following options:

  • Total – Calculates a total for the entire period.

  • Half year – Calculates a total for each half year.

  • Month – Calculates a total for each month.

  • Years – Calculates a total for each year.

  • Quarter – Calculates the total for each quarter.

Unknown

This column is a placeholder for a category that you have not selected yet. Each category that you select in the Groupings list will replace one Unknown column after you click Update.

Start date

The first date of the period to view absence statistics for.

End date

The last date of the period to view absence statistics for.

Total

The total number of absences registered for the categories that you selected.
