Add products (form) (Retail)

Click Retail > Common > Assortments. On the Assortments list page, double-click an assortment in the list. Then, in the Assortments form, on the Products FastTab, click Add products.

Click Retail > Setup > Category hierarchies > Retail product hierarchy. In the Retail product hierarchy form, on the Products FastTab, click Add products.

Click Retail > Common > Catalogs > Catalogs. In the Catalogs list, double-click a catalog. Then, in the Catalogs form, on the Products FastTab, click Add products.

Click Retail > Common > Pricing and discounts > Discounts. In the Discount form, on the Lines FastTab, click Add products.

–or–

Click Retail > Common > Replenishment > Cross docking. In the Planned cross docking form, on the Lines FastTab, click Add products.

Click Procurement and sourcing > Common > Purchase orders > All purchase orders. On the All purchase orders list page, double-click a purchase order in the list, or create a new purchase order. Then, in the Purchase order form, on the Purchase order lines FastTab, click Add products.

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Sales orders > All sales orders. On the All sales orders list page, double-click a sales order in the list, or create a new sales order. Then, in the Sales order form, on the Sales order lines FastTab, click Add products.

Use this form to add one or more products and product variants to components and documents, such as retail product hierarchies, retail assortments, purchase orders, and sales orders. You can filter the product list by hierarchy and category. You can then select the products and product variants that you want to add to your document or component.

If Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 is installed, you can also use this form to add products to retail product catalogs. When you open this form, you can filter the product list by retail channel, product assortment, channel navigation hierarchy, or retail product hierarchy. When you select the products and product variants that you want to add to your component or document, you can also specify the quantities of product variants to add.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Filters

Filter	Description
Retail channel	Select a retail channel that has been assigned to the catalog. This filter applies only when you add products to a retail catalog. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Assortment	Select an assortment. The assortments in this list are assigned to the retail channel that is selected in the Retail channel field. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Hierarchy	Select the product hierarchy that contains the products that you want to add to the component or document. If you are adding products to a retail catalog, only retail channel navigation or retail product hierarchies that are assigned to the retail channel are displayed.
Item group	Select a product hierarchy in the Hierarchy field, and then select an item group. The Available products grid displays only the available products that are assigned to the selected item group.
Buyer group	Select a product hierarchy in the Hierarchy field, and then select a buyer group. The Available products grid displays only the available products that are assigned to the selected buyer group.
Vendor account	Select a product hierarchy in the Hierarchy field, and then select a vendor account. The Available products grid displays only the available products that are associated with the selected vendor.

Buttons

Button	Description
Add variants	Open the Variant matrix: Product: %1 form, where you can select the product variants to add to the document or component. You can also filter this form and enter the quantity of each product variant to add. This button is available only if variants have been defined for the selected product. If Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 is installed, you can copy the variant quantities that you enter in one cell to the other variant rows and columns.
Dimensions	Open the Dimensions display form, where you can select the product dimensions that are displayed in the Add selected products grid. You can also view or modify the dimensions for the products that you select.

Fields

Field	Description
Hierarchy	Select the product category hierarchy to add products from. If Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 is installed, you can also select the channel navigation hierarchy to add products from.
Product number	The unique identifier that is assigned to the product.
Product name	The name of the product.
Quantity	Enter the quantity of the product to add to the document or component. Note This field is available only if you opened this form from a form that references quantities.
