Compounding rules - Revenue (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Indirect costs > Indirect cost component groups. In the Indirect cost component groups form, select an indirect cost component group, and then click Assign indirect cost components. In the Assigned indirect cost components form, select an indirect cost component, and then click Compounding rules > Revenue.

Use this form to create rules for calculating indirect costs for an indirect cost component group. A compounding rule adjusts the value that is calculated for an indirect cost by applying a multiplier to the hourly rate of the indirect cost. You can also determine the sequence in which the revenue compounding rules are applied.

Field

Description

Component name

The indirect cost component that you selected in the Assigned indirect cost components form. The sequence of the indirect cost components in the list reflects the sequence in which the compounding rules are calculated.

By default, the indirect cost components are listed in the same sequence as they are listed in the Assigned indirect cost components form. To change the sequence of the indirect cost components, use the Move up and Move down buttons. You cannot move an indirect cost component that depends on the previous indirect cost component.

Warning

If an indirect cost component depends on another cost component, you cannot move the dependent indirect cost component before its related indirect cost component.

Indirect cost component

The unique identifier for the indirect cost component.

Available indirect cost components

Select an indirect cost component, and then click Add to include the indirect cost component in the compounding rule.

Note

This field is displayed only if more than one indirect cost component is assigned to the selected indirect cost component group.

Selected indirect cost components

The indirect cost components that you selected.

If there is an indirect cost component in the list that you want to exclude from the compounding rule, select the indirect cost component, and then click Remove.

Note

The Selected indirect cost components field is displayed only if more than one indirect cost component is assigned to the selected indirect cost component group.
