Customers (form) (Retail)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack

Click Accounts receivable > Common > Customers > All customers. In the All customers list, double-click a customer record to open it. Or, on the Action Pane on the Customer tab, in the New group, click Customer to create a new customer record.

Use this form to create and maintain your organization’s customer records for your customers. For Retail, you can set up and maintain loyalty customer data.

This topic describes the controls that are added to the Customers form when you use the Retail module. For information about other controls in the Customers form, see Customers (form).

Info codes

Set up info codes for this customer.

Note

In versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to AX 2012 R3, info codes in Retail were called reason codes. This topic refers to info codes, but the information also pertains to Retail reason codes in earlier versions of AX 2012, unless otherwise indicated.

Affiliations

Open the Affiliations form, where you can create a discount affiliation for the selected customer. For more information, see Set up an affiliation and its discounts.

Images

Open the Images form, where you can select an image that is displayed for the customer. For example, you can display the customer’s company logo, business card, or other image.

Loyalty card transactions.

Open the Loyalty transaction form, where you can view customer transactions that include a loyalty discount.

Loyalty customers

Open the Loyalty customer form, where you can configure a loyalty program for a customer. For example, you can issue loyalty cards and view loyalty transactions for the customer.

This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Fields

Description

Amount charged, not posted

The deposits that have been made to account.

Post as shipment

Select this check box if you want to post a sale as a shipment.

Use order number reference

Select this check box if you want to print the order number in a sales receipt.

Receipt option

Set the customer’s receipt option. Select one of the following values:

  • POS – The customer receives only printed receipts. The printed receipt is generated from the point-of-sale register.

  • E-mail – The customer receives receipts only in email.

  • Both – The customer receives both a printed receipt and an email receipt.

Receipt email

Enter the customer’s email address if you selected either E-mail or Both in the Receipt option field.
