Keyboard mapping (form)

Click Retail > Setup > POS > Keyboard mapping groups. In the Keyboard mapping groups form, click Keyboard mapping.

Use this form to set up a mapping between key combinations and operations in Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS. You can also enable Retail POS to use various point of sale (POS) keyboards by mapping the keys on those keyboards to the codes for regular computer keyboards. You can also disable specific keys on a computer keyboard or map the keys to other key combinations.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Fields

Field	Description
Key character	Type the character that is used as a shortcut key in Retail POS.
ASCII value	The ASCII value of the key that you specified in the Key character field.
Operation ID	Select the operation that is performed in Retail POS when the character that you specified in the Key character field is pressed on the POS keyboard.
Operation name	The name of the operation that you selected in the Operation ID field.
Action property	The action property of the operation that you selected in the Operation ID field.
