Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Accounts receivable parameters. Click Collections > Manage waive limits.

Use this form to set limits for the amount of interest and fees that can be waived on interest notes for customers. You can enter the maximum amount that can be waived and specify the currency for that amount. If you set limits, they will be used for all customers. You cannot set different limits for specific customer accounts.

The Accounts receivable parameters form includes the following related fields in the Collections area:

  • Use the Minimum number of days to allow waived interest and fees and Maximum number of days to allow waived interest and fees fields to specify the minimum and maximum number of days that amounts can be waived after the interest note has been posted.

  • Use the Adjustment invoice date value field to select which date will be used on the adjustment invoice, or credit note, that is used to settle waived interest or fees. You can select either the interest note date or the current system date.

For more information, see Accounts receivable parameters (form).

Description

Currency

Select the currency for the limit.

Amount

Enter the limit amount, in the currency you selected, for waived interest and fees. This is the total amount that you can waive for any customer. It includes all of the interest and fees that have ever been waived.

For example, you set a 100.00 limit for waiving interest and fees. You already waived 125.00 for one customer before the limit was set. The new limit will not affect any amounts that were waived in the past, but it will prevent you from waiving additional amounts because the limit has been reached.

Note

You can view all previous adjustments to interest notes for a customer by clicking History on the Collect tab on the All customers list page. For more information, see Interest note adjustment history (form).
