Resolution (form)

Click Service management > Setup > Repair > Resolutions.

Use this form to create resolution codes to use to create repair lines for service objects. The code describes how the problem was resolved.


A customer reported problems with the braking and the turning when he brought his car to the workshop for service. The diagnosis showed that the brake pads needed to be replaced. After doing this, the noise disappeared and the steering wheel stopped shaking when braking. You add Fixed as a resolution and can enter it on the repair line. Tightening the steering linkage did not solve the turning problem. The car still shakes when turning corners. You add Problem not resolved as a resolution and enter it on the related repair line. More diagnosis, with potentially more diagnosis areas and codes being created, will have to be performed to resolve the problem.
