Worker validation project assignments (form)

Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers. On the Workers list page, select a worker for whom you want to validate a project connection. On the Action Pane, on the Project management tab, in the Set up group, click Assign projects.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project resources > Resources. On the Action Pane, on the Project resource tab, in the Maintain group, click Assign projects.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project resources > Resource availability. On the Action Pane, on the Project resource tab, in the Maintain group, click Assign projects.
Use this form to define validation connections for the selected worker. The validation assignments control access limitations that are applied when workers register entries in hour, cost, and inventory journals, or when they enter timesheets. The connections that you set up in this form make selected projects available for the worker or include the worker in worker/project groups.
You can enable or disable validation assignments for the current organization through the validation parameter setup in the Project management and accounting parameters form.

Validation group |
Maintain the list workers who are assigned to the selected validation group. Add the selected worker to existing Worker/project validation groups by selecting a group in the Remaining groups list and then clicking the left arrow. The group is added to the Selected groups list. Remove a worker from a validation group by selecting a group in the Selected groups area and then clicking the right arrow. The group is moved to the Remaining groups list. |
Projects |
Maintain the list projects that are assigned to the selected validation group. Add projects to the set of projects that can be accessed by the selected worker by selecting projects in the Remaining projects list and then clicking the left arrow. The project is added to the Selected projects list. Remove a project from the set of projects that can be accessed by the current worker by selecting a project in the Selected projects list and then clicking the right arrow. The project is moved to the Remaining projects list. |

Project name |
The name of the project. |
Worker/project |
The name of the worker/project validation group. |
Project stage |
The status of the current project, such as In progress or Created. |
