Set up asset depreciation book bonus

You can use the Depreciation book special depreciation allowance form to enter or modify bonus depreciation information for the asset depreciation book. You can add, remove, or modify a bonus depreciation record if there are no existing bonus depreciation, depreciation, or depreciation adjustment transactions for the specific asset depreciation book.

  1. Click Fixed assets > Common > Fixed assets > Fixed assets.

  2. Select a fixed asset.

  3. On the Action Pane, click Depreciation books.

  4. Select a depreciation book.

  5. Click Special depreciation allowance.

  6. Press CTRL+N to create a line.

  7. Enter a bonus name and a description.

  8. You can enter a percentage or amount.

  9. Enter a number in the Priority field to indicate the order in which the bonus is taken, if there is more than one bonus depreciation for an asset.
