Click Inventory management > Inquiries > Quality management > Certificate of analysis.

Use this form to view certificates of analysis that are related to quality orders, create a certificate for an associated quality order, and print a certificate of analysis. A printed certificate of analysis displays the associated quality order, item, and reference information, such as the related sales order or purchase order. The certificate also displays the test results for selected tests that are performed as part of the quality order. Use the Quality orders form to view and maintain the information that is printed on a certificate of analysis.

Tip

To view and maintain the information that is printed on a certificate of analysis for a quality order, open the certificate of analysis from the quality order. Click Inventory management > Periodic > Quality management > Quality orders. Select the quality order, and then click Inquiries > Certificate of analysis.

Example

Your legal entity has a customer who wants a certificate of analysis for an item that is being shipped, together with the test results for several mandated tests. After picking the item for a sales order and automatically generating a quality order for the picked material, you enter the test results for the mandated tests on the quality order. You create and print a certificate of analysis for the quality order, and then send the certificate of analysis together with the shipped material.

Buttons

Button	Description
Print	Print a certificate of analysis.
Inventory	Open the Dimensions display form, where you can select the inventory dimensions to display in this form.

Fields

Field	Description
Certificate of analysis	The identifier for the certificate of analysis.
Quality order	The quality order that is associated with the certificate of analysis.
Account selection	The customer account or vendor account that is associated with the quality order when the reference type is Sales or Purchase.
Item number	The item number that is associated with the quality order.
Contact	The contact person for the certificate of analysis.
Reference type	The reference type of the quality order that is associated with the certificate of analysis. The reference type indicates the origin of the quality order. The following reference types are used: Inventory Sales Purchase Quarantine Production Route operation
Reference number	The reference number for the reference type. For example, this might be the sales order number for a reference type of Sales.
Reference lot	The reference lot for the reference number.
Route number	The route number when the reference type is Production or Route operation.
Inventory dimensions	The inventory dimensions for the item.
