Important

Promote a verified subdomain to the root domain. A verified domain has its isVerified property set to true.

Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. The work or school account needs to belong to at least the Domain Name Administrator Microsoft Entra role.

POST /domains/{id}/promote

For {id}, specify the domain with its fully qualified domain name.

If successful, this call returns a 200 OK response and a Boolean value that specifies the publishing status of the content type.
