Healthcare groups are distinct entities within the organizational structure that let you associate product settings and library objects with users in the organization dependent on your organization's needs. When you have a set of users in the organization who need to inherit similar configurations from an organization unit, you can add these users to a single healthcare group which can be associated with the organization unit. These groups are created independently of hierarchical organizational units.
The healthcare groups that you work with in Dragon admin center don't correspond to Microsoft Entra groups. Creating and deleting healthcare groups in Dragon admin center doesn't impact Microsoft Entra groups or Entra users. Similarly, there's no functionality in Dragon admin center to create or delete Microsoft Entra users; this is handled in the Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 admin center.
Create a healthcare group
You must create a healthcare group before linking it to an organization unit. A newly created healthcare group can be associated with multiple organization units that already exist in the organization within an environment.
To create a healthcare group
- In the Environment configuration section of the navigation pane, select Organization.
- Select Healthcare groups. Your existing groups are listed here.
- Select Add group.
- Enter the group's name and description and select Save. The new group is added to the groups list.
The healthcare groups in your organization are available under Healthcare groups on the Organization page. You can also identify the number of members linked to all the existing healthcare groups in your organization on this page.
Add users to a healthcare group
After creating the healthcare group, you can search for existing users in your Entra tenant and add them as members to your healthcare group in Dragon admin center.
To add users to a healthcare group
- In the Environment configuration section of the navigation pane, select Organization.
- Select Healthcare groups.
- Select a group. The group details page opens and its members are listed.
- Select Add members to view the list of your organization's users and add them to the group.
You can add users to multiple groups.
Delete a healthcare group
When you delete a healthcare group from Dragon admin center, all users linked to the group are unlinked from the group. The users created within Entra are not affected. Users from a deleted healthcare group will remain members of any other healthcare groups they belong to.
To delete a healthcare group
- In the Environment configuration section of the navigation pane, select Organization.
- Select Healthcare groups.
- Select a group. The group details page opens.
- Select Delete.
Note
Deleting a healthcare group removes its existing associations with organization units. Deleting a healthcare group within Dragon admin center doesn't impact the Entra groups available for that organization in Microsoft 365 admin center.
Remove user data
You can remove user data from Dragon admin center using the Remove user data action on the Organization page. This action removes all user configurations including links to groups and organization units, user specific product settings and library objects. When user data is removed from Dragon admin center, the user configuration can't be restored and must be added again. The user can no longer access Dragon Copilot.
The user isn't deleted from Microsoft 365 admin center as part of this action. You can delete the user in Microsoft 365 admin center separately after you've removed their data from Dragon admin center.
To remove user data
- In the Environment configuration section of the navigation pane, select Organization. Your current organization units and their hierarchy are displayed.
- In the top right of the page select Manage users > Remove user data.
- Search for the user by name and select Remove data.
- Select Done.
