We're pleased to introduce the latest release of Dragon Copilot with new features and enhancements to streamline your workflow and improve efficiency. This Dragon Copilot 3.4.3 release is exclusively focused on features for the Dragon Copilot nursing experience.
With the nursing experience now live in Dragon Copilot, our communications have been expanded to reflect this broader scope. Each feature clearly indicates the relevant clinical experience, whether it applies to physicians/clinicians, nurses, or both. This approach ensures greater clarity and helps teams quickly identify updates most applicable to their workflow.
To enhance release communications, we changed the template to better organize features, based on customer feedback. This adjustment highlights actionable features first, followed by educational or informational items. Dragon Copilot web: Seamless launch from Epic (preview)
Description: Dragon Copilot 3.4.3 introduces a new capability that makes accessing Dragon Copilot web app easier than ever. With the 'launch from Epic' feature, users can open Dragon Copilot web (nursing experience) directly from Epic, creating a smooth, integrated workflow with fewer clicks. Epic administrators simply configure the provided URL from Microsoft product team, enabling users to launch either the Dragon Copilot web homepage or a specific patient session directly from Epic. This streamlined process helps nurses save time and stay focused on patient care.

Embedded experience enhancements
Description: Dragon Copilot experience for nurses 3.4.3 is now live with a set of embedded enhancements in Epic Rover designed to make nursing documentation smarter, faster, and more intuitive. This release introduces:
The first-time user experience dynamically adapts to device size, ensuring a clear and consistent onboarding experience across all screens.
The recording screen now displays a list of templates with the ability to preview rows, helping nurses to identify and capture the appropriate content.
During preview generation, loading status indicators are shown to reassure users that the recording is actively being processed.

Improved lines, drains, and airways (LDA) documentation support for product names
Description: Users can now use familiar product names to quickly identify lines, drains, and airways (LDAs). This update makes documentation more intuitive by recognizing these commonly used names and mapping them to their formal terms:
Purewick → external urinary catheter (when verbalizing, mention "male" or "female" to map to correct gender).
Foley → urethral catheter (indwelling)
Hep lock or Heparin lock → peripheral IV
JP drain or Jackson-Pratt drain → closed/suction drain
Hemovac → closed/suction drain

Edit nurse notes with ease using your keyboard
Description: With the new 'edit nurse notes' feature, you can quickly add or remove details before copying notes to the EHR. Simply click the pencil icon on the AI output card. You'll be taken to the Note tab, where the draft note appears in an editable text field. From there, you can make changes and copy the updated note to the EHR. Each edited note creates a new card on the timeline with a link back to the Note tab, so you can easily track changes. The original AI output remains untouched for reference whenever you need it.

Dragon admin center: Guardrails for enabling templates in nursing workflows
Description: To ensure accuracy and compliance, Dragon admin center now requires specific metadata when enabling templates for ambient recording in the flowsheet manager. Admins can only enable templates if:
A supported template type is selected (all types except Other Template).
The template is assigned to the Med-Surg (Medical-Surgical) service line.
Additionally, Dragon admin center provides inline warnings, such as when Other Template is selected, to help prevent configuration errors.

Dragon admin center: Transfer template metadata between environments for nursing workflows
Description: Admins can now easily transfer metadata assigned to templates from one environment to another. For example, you can set attributes such as Service line, Role, and Template type for imported templates in your test environment, then seamlessly transfer those metadata assignments to your production environment using the new tooling. This enhancement simplifies configuration and ensures consistency across environments.

Description: We've simplified transcript input and made workflows easier in the Tune accuracy tool in Dragon admin center. Highlights:
New input modal: Quickly create monologue or conversation test cases; press Enter to add a speaker turn.
Easy speaker assignment: Select speaker type. You don't need to type labels.
Fast edits: Remove a speaker turn with one click.
Confirmation screen: Review the full transcript before creating the test case.

Description: To make it easier to manage and review test cases in the Tune accuracy tool in Dragon admin center, we've improved the labeling and color coding. Admins can now quickly identify test cases that need attention, for example if they're missing expected observations or have incorrect observations in the output. These updates provide clearer visual cues to help streamline review and ensure accuracy.
