With external reporting in Sustainability Manager, you can export your assessment responses to these file formats:
- Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
- HTML, which you can easily transform into a Microsoft Word or PDF file
Export as an Excel file
Prerequisites
Before exporting your assessment as an Excel file, you need to set up the Dataverse connection so the export doesn't get stuck in a Pending state.
In the Power Apps portal, select your environment from the upper right corner.
On the left navigation, select Solutions, and then select Default Solution.
Select Connection references from the left navigation, and then select Microsoft Dataverse msdyn_esgexport.
Select New connection, search for Dataverse in the upper right search bar, and select Microsoft Dataverse. If there are two Dataverse connections, select the one that isn't grayed out.
Sign in, and then select Create.
Select the newly created connection and save.
Export to Excel
In Microsoft Sustainability Manager, select Assessments on the left navigation, and then select the assessment you want to export.
On the top menu, select Export, and then select Export as Excel.
Enter a name for the export.
Select the assessment to export.
Select Save or Save & Close.
When the job status displays as Completed, you can view the records ready to be exported under Flattened Report. To download the export file, select the ellipsis (...) at the right corner of the report and select Export Flattened Reports.
Troubleshoot
If you're having issues exporting as an Excel file and you completed all of the Prerequisites, perform the following steps:
Sign in to Power Apps maker portal.
On the left navigation, select Solutions. Then, select Managed.
Next, search for and select External ESG Reporting Flow or msdyn_ESGReportingFlows.
Select Export Flow and Turn on in the command bar.
Ensure that you wait until you get the message Turn on succeeded. You can now retry exporting as an Excel file in Microsoft Sustainability Manager as outlined in Export to Excel.
Export as HTML
In Microsoft Sustainability Manager, select Assessments on the left navigation, and then select the assessment you want to export.
On the top menu, select Export, and then select Export as HTML. Your HTML download begins.
