The Net Paid Seats dashboard provides comprehensive insights into user growth and customer performance across your partner ecosystem. Track month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year changes in paid license additions with detailed customer and product breakdowns. The Net Paid Seats dashboard is relevant to Cloud Solution Providers (CSP) partners, including:
- Direct Bill Partners
- Indirect Providers
- Indirect Resellers
These partner cohorts benefit from enhanced visibility into Net Paid Seat Adds (NPSA) at both the Tenant and Global Organization levels.
Strategic importance
The Net Paid Seats report represents a significant enhancement to existing reporting capabilities, enabling partners to:
- Track and analyze performance in growing Microsoft 365 cloud solution licenses
- Understand growth drivers - identify what's driving growth or decline in NPSA
- Assess customer-level trends for targeted engagement
- Take actionable steps to improve performance outcomes
This reporting capability is critical to reversing the current downward trend in CSP revenue and directly aligns with FY25 growth targets. Dashboard filters
- Date Selection
- Month Selection: Choose from the last 12 months
- Default: Previous month is preselected
- Product & SKU Selection
- Product Filter: Select specific products or view all
- SKU Filter: Filter by relevant versions within selected products
- Default: All products and SKUs are preselected
Dashboard widgets
- Key Metrics Summary
The dashboard displays the following high-level metrics:
- Total NPSA Customers: Total number of customers with Net Paid Seats Added
- MoM % Change: Month-over-Month percentage change
- QoQ % Change: Quarter-over-Quarter percentage change
- YoY % Change: Year-over-Year percentage change
- Net Paid Seats Added per Customer Tenant
Table View: Direct and With Resellers. The main data table includes the following columns:
- Customer ID: Unique identifier for the customer
- Customer Name: Display name of the customer
- Customer Tenant ID: Customer's tenant identifier
- Customer Tenant Name: Customer's tenant display name
- Area: Geographic area/region
- Country: Customer's country location
- NPSA: Net Paid Seats Added count
- MoM: Month-over-Month growth percentage

The table includes other reseller information alongside customer data for comprehensive partner ecosystem visibility.
Interactive customer selection
Users can select specific customers from the NPSA Customers widget. This selection dynamically updates:
- NPSA Bridge Status: Displays data filtered to selected customers only.
- NPSA Product Trend: Shows trends for the selected customer subset.
This feature enables focused analysis of specific customer segments or top performers.

Visual representation of user movement across categories:
- Install Base P0: Starting install base
- New Customers: Seats from new customer acquisitions
- Net Expand: Additional seats from existing customers
- Churn: Seats lost due to customer churn
- New Install Base P1: Ending install base after changes
Data updates based on customer selection from the NPSA Customers widget.
NPSA product trend
Time Period: Last six months Trend analysis showing Net Paid Seats Added performance across different products over the selected time period. Filters dynamically based on customer selection for targeted analysis.
Downloadable reports
Reports are available through the Downloads Hub with comprehensive data exports. Users need to have Executive Report Viewer or Report Viewer roles to get access to the reports. The two available reports are described in the following sections.
NetPaidSeatsAdds report
The purpose of the NetPaidSeatsAdds report is to provide detailed Net Paid Seats data for direct customer relationships.
Columns:
- Global Partner ID: Partner's global identifier
- Partner Tenant ID: Partner's tenant identifier
- Customer ID: Unique customer identifier
- Customer Name: Customer display name
- Customer Tenant ID: Customer's tenant identifier
- Customer Tenant Name: Customer's tenant display name
- Country: Customer's country location
- Region: Geographic region
- Product Group: Product category grouping
- SKU: Specific Stock Keeping Unit
- Month: Reporting month
- NetPaidSeatsAdded: Number of net paid licenses added
- NetPaidSeatsMOM: Month-over-Month change in net paid seats
NetPaidSeatsWithResellers report
The purpose of the NetPaidSeatsWithResellers report is to provide comprehensive data including reseller information for distributor partners. This report is exclusively available for the Distributors.
Columns:
- Global Partner ID: Partner's global identifier
- Partner Tenant ID: Partner's tenant identifier
- Customer ID: Unique customer identifier
- Customer Name: Customer display name
- Customer Tenant ID: Customer's tenant identifier
- Customer Tenant Name: Customer's tenant display name
- Country: Customer's country location
- Region: Geographic region
- Product Group: Product category grouping
- SKU: Specific Stock Keeping Unit

- Reseller Name: Name of the reseller partner

Usage Guidelines
- Start with Date Selection: Choose your analysis period from the month dropdown
