To help build and publish well-architected applications on the Microsoft Cloud, ISV Success provides rich technical benefits, which are available to all B2B ISVs regardless of experience or previous performance with Microsoft. We welcome ISVs new to building on the Microsoft Cloud with a Core Benefits package.
We support higher-performing ISVs that are committed to publishing transactable applications to marketplace with an Expanded Benefits package of richer Azure benefits and more technical consulting hours. Benefits packages start at $126K (USD) in retail value and are provided entirely free for the first year, providing access to cloud credits, developer tools and 1:1 technical consults that cover both app building and app publishing.
After first year, eligible ISVs that have successfully published, can renew and purchase discounted benefit packages to support their ongoing development of the next set of applications. ISVs that publish applications, can also enjoy go-to-market benefits unlocked based on application performance. These benefits include social promotion, success stories, featured placement, Microsoft seller spotlights, and 1:1 consults to optimize marketplace listings. ISVs also earn free Azure to support their sales pipeline by defraying costs of demos, test drives, trials, and end-customer deployments.
To complement these benefits, ISVs are provided with a rich set of curated self-serve content and access to an "always-on" community of peers and Microsoft experts to accelerate their success. This includes code samples, architecture diagrams, publishing tools, technical how-to videos and marketing best practices. The Marketplace Community provides a forum to quickly and easily get questions answered about how to find and use these resources and how best to leverage the Microsoft Cloud, and the commercial marketplace. ISVs can discover and sign up for ISV Success through the ISV Hub. Once enrolled they can access, track consumption and renew benefits through Partner Center. They can also view where they are on performance tiers to unlock more benefits. All in the same portal where they manage published applications, receive leads and receive payouts from successful sales.

What types of application development scenarios are supported?
Four application development scenarios are supported:
- Build New (a new application not yet in-market)
- Application Integration (an application integrating with one or more aspects of the Microsoft Cloud)
- Application Migration/Replication (an existing application that is migrating or replicating from a competitive cloud)
- Application Modernization (An existing application being updated with significant new features that justify a new version or republishing on the marketplace). For example, upgrading a Contact Me or Trial listing to transactable offers in marketplace does count as Application Modernization.
Do I need to enroll in ISV Success to publish an offer on the Microsoft commercial marketplace?
No, you don't need to enroll in ISV Success to publish an offer on Marketplace. Learn more about publishing on Microsoft's commercial marketplace. However, ISV Success can help qualifying ISVs build, migrate, or replicate apps for publication on the Microsoft commercial marketplace. Learn more about ISV Success. Do I get Dynamics F&O licenses as part of my ISV Success benefits?
Dynamics F&O licenses are available in ISV Success for ISVs that are building and publishing two specific offer types: Dynamics 365 Apps on Dataverse / Power Apps and Dynamics 365 Operations. Once the ISV has published the offer, completed deal registration, and set up billing information within Partner Center, these extra licenses can be accessed. Once enrolled in ISV Success, your assigned engagement manager can provide additional information.

How do I get a press release for a contact me listing as part of the Marketplace Rewards benefits?
The press release benefit is available for transactable listings as part of Marketplace Rewards benefits, meaning you have published an offer on the Microsoft commercial marketplace. The press release isn't a benefit available for non-transactable listings as part of Marketplace Rewards. Reach out to your Engagement Manager or Rewards Engagement Manager if you have one and have questions about this.
To get a press release for a "Contact Me" listing, you need to follow these steps:
- Publish an Offer: Ensure you have published an offer in the commercial marketplace.
- Assign a Marketing Contact: Go to the benefits workspace in Partner Center, select the marketing benefits tab, and assign a company marketing contact. This contact will receive follow-up communications about your marketplace rewards.
- Activate Benefits: After assigning the marketing contact, select the "Activate" button for the benefit you want to start using. A member of the rewards team will contact your marketing contact within a week.
If you have any issues or if your offer has been live for more than three weeks without receiving your benefits, you should open a support ticket.

Marketplace Rewards
Is Marketplace Rewards part of ISV Success?
Yes, ISV Success supports along the ISV journey of Build, Publish, and Grow and Marketplace Rewards is the Grow section of ISV Success. ISVs can join Marketplace Rewards by applying through ISV Hub or publishing their offer on the Microsoft commercial marketplace, after which the Marketplace Rewards team will contact them.
Will Marketplace Rewards still support non-ISV partners?
Benefits will continue to be available to every partner who has an existing or new service or solution listing in the commercial marketplace. To see your company’s available Marketplace Rewards, from the Partner Center dashboard, navigate to Benefits and go to the Marketplace Rewards page and select Sales and Marketing benefits.
Does Marketplace Rewards charge a selling fee or a transact fee for selling on the Microsoft commercial marketplace?
Microsoft Rewards doesn't charge a selling fee but applies a 3% transact fee for purchases made through the Microsoft commercial marketplace. More info can be found here.
When do my Marketplace Rewards benefits refresh?
Marketplace Rewards benefits refresh based on the partner's anniversary date which can be found in Partner Center Benefits. The anniversary date is defined as the date the partner published their first transact offer in the Microsoft commercial marketplace and the day (on each year) they'll be rewarded with new benefits. If you can't find your anniversary date, reach out to your Engagement Manager OR if you don't have an engagement manager, reach out to the rewards alias at rewards@microsoft.com.

Expanded and Advanced Packages
What is ISV Success Expanded Package?
ISV Success supports higher-performing ISVs that are committed to publishing transactable applications to the Microsoft commercial marketplace with an Expanded Package. Qualification for Expanded Package is based on prior performance and a desire to transact on the marketplace. This Expanded Package includes additional Azure benefits and technical consulting hours. Access to the Expanded Package is through invitation only. If an ISV qualifies for Expanded Package, ISV Success members will be invited by ISV Success Engagement Managers based on performance criteria. The only contact in ISV Success that can confirm if an ISV has access to Expanded package is the ISV Success Engagement Manager. Once you are enrolled in ISV Success, your assigned Engagement Manager will contact you directly if you qualify for Expanded Package.
What is the Advanced Package in ISV Success?
As of November 18, 2024, we are excited to introduce the Advanced Package for the highest performing ISVs across the build, publish and grow stages of ISV Success. The Advanced Package is available for ISVs with a Certified Software Designation in Azure, Security or Industry AI who are enrolled in ISV Success. For build and publish, the Advanced Package offers up to $150K in cash incentives for software companies building applications on Azure AI or Analytics services and publishing to the commercial marketplace. This incentive builds on the benefits of the Expanded Package, including 50 hours of technical consults and Azure credits, to help technical teams bring their app to market faster. For grow (Marketplace Rewards), ISVs can get up to $50K to simplify end-customer migrations to their cloud app. ISVs that meet these criteria can get full details on these cash incentives from their assigned ISV Success engagement manager.
Azure Sponsorship
Can I add the Azure Sponsorship benefits to an Azure subscription that already has an active sponsorship?
No, the Azure Sponsorship benefit isn't able to be applied to a subscription that already has another active Azure sponsorship. ISVs can select an alternate EA or pay-as-you-go subscription, or create a new pay-as-you-go subscription to use the Azure Sponsorship benefit. Alternatively, ISVs can wait for their existing Azure Sponsorship benefit to consume or expire, convert back to EA or pay-as-you-go, then apply the ISV Success sponsorship benefit.
Can my ISV Success Build and Publish sponsorship be extended beyond the end date?
No, ISV Success Build & Publish sponsorships can't be extended beyond the sponsorship end date. ISV Success Build & Publish sponsorships are automatically extended 30 days beyond the benefit year, giving the ISV up to thirteen months to consume their Build and Publish sponsorship. ISV Success Marketplace Rewards Sponsorships can be reviewed for extension on a case by case basis.
Can my ISV Success Marketplace Rewards sponsorship be extended beyond the end date?
Yes, ISV Success Marketplace Rewards sponsorships can be reviewed for extension on a case by case basis. However, ISV Success Build & Publish sponsorships are automatically extended 30 days beyond the benefit year, giving the ISV up to thirteen months to consume their Build and Publish sponsorship.
Can I use ISV Success Azure credits on subscriptions that are within my Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC)?
If your company has a MACC, Azure consumption using credits from ISV Success or Marketplace Rewards won't count toward your commitment. ISV Success and Marketplace Rewards Azure credits can only be applied to Azure subscriptions on accounts under Enterprise Agreement (EA) or legacy pay-as-you-go (Azure offer 0003P or 0036P).

Can an ISV renew their ISV Success Membership early?
ISVs can renew their ISV Success Membership 30 days before their current term ends. If an ISV renews their ISV Success membership early, the renewed package for ISV Success gets provisioned on the date their current benefit term ends for ISV Success. If you meet the eligibility criteria for ISV Success and are ready to renew, you should be contacted by your ISV Success Engagement Manager. If you haven't been contacted yet or need further assistance, reach out to your ISV Success Engagement Manager directly. For Marketplace Rewards renewals, the partner will be rewarded with new benefits for Marketplace Rewards on their anniversary date, defined as when the partner published their first transact offer in the Microsoft commercial marketplace; this is the day (on each year) they'll be rewarded with new benefits for Marketplace Rewards. What benefits change once an ISV renews?
GitHub will be the only difference from year one to year two, and GitHub won't be provisioned after the first year. GitHub isn't available in year two for ISV Success.
What if an ISV doesn't renew?
If an ISV doesn't have an application in development, isn't ready to finance a renewal, or hasn't published an application, they can still be a Partner in Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program (MAICPP) per that program agreement. The ISV can renew at any later point. If they published transactable, they are eligible for Marketplace Rewards tiers.
Can I reapply to ISV Success if I didn't meet the requirements to renew my ISV Success membership?
No, you can't reapply to ISV Success if you didn't meet the requirements to renew your existing ISV Success membership. You can renew your ISV Success membership if you're eligible for renewal but can't reapply for ISV Success if you did not meet the renewal criteria. The first year of ISV Success is free, and there's a fee in subsequent years.
If an ISV uses ISV Success benefits to modernize an existing application that is already published in marketplace, would they be eligible for renewal?
To renew ISV Success after twelve months, an ISV must publish a new app or upgrade an existing transactable app to the marketplace. However, if the application modernization doesn't result in a new app being published, the ISV wouldn't be eligible for renewal for ISV Success.
Can I renew my ISV Success membership if I'm not publishing a new app?
Yes, you can renew ISV Success by either modernizing an existing app or publishing a new one. ISV Success is designed to support companies developing B2B cloud applications using the Microsoft Cloud, providing benefits to help with innovation, including AI trainings and more.
Do any benefits change once an ISV renews their ISV Success membership?
The only benefit that changes when an ISV renews their membership in ISV Success is that GitHub won't be provisioned after the first year. GitHub won't be available when an ISV renews their membership, but the other benefits will still be available when membership is renewed after year one.

Startups and Founders Hub
Can I join ISV Success if I'm a startup?
Yes, if you meet the eligibility criteria of ISV Success, you're welcome to apply even if your company is a startup. It's important to note that you must be developing a B2B application with intent to publish for repeatable sale on the Microsoft commercial marketplace to be eligible as a startup to apply for ISV Success.
Can I enroll in Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub and ISV Success?
If you meet the eligibility criteria of ISV Success, you're welcome to apply for ISV Success even if your company is a startup that is also enrolled in Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. You can be part of both Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub and ISV Success at the same time. To join ISV Success, you must be developing a B2B application intended for repeatable sale on the Microsoft commercial marketplace.
Transactable Professional Services
What are the transactable professional services offering?
The transactable professional services offering is a nonphysical service that a company provides to supplement or support a customer's engagement with the Microsoft ecosystem. Unlike a software solution, professional services can't be installed or deployed on a customer's tenant. The countries/regions eligible today for the transactable professional services offering are USA, UK, and Canada.
When did the transactable professional services offering become available?
The transactable professional services offering became available on September 1, 2024.
Can ISVs enroll in ISV Success if they only publish a professional services offer?
No, an ISV may not enroll in ISV Success if they only publish a professional services offer – they must also publish a B2B app to support the professional services offer.
Does the introduction of the transactable professional services offering change the eligibility requirements for ISV Success?
No, the introduction of the transactable professional services offering doesn't change the eligibility requirements for ISV Success.
Are technical consultations available for ISVs with a professional services offering?

Does having a transactable professional service offering impact my eligibility for ISV Success renewal?

How does ISV Success support ISVs?

How long do I have to use all my ISV Success benefits?
You have twelve months to use all your ISV Success benefits from the day you join, even if you decide to activate the benefits later. An ISV can activate the benefits near the end of the program, such as one month before the end date, and receive the benefits for only that month.
Can I start and stop my ISV Success benefits at any time?
No, once you join ISV Success for the first time, your twelve months start counting. Once the twelve months are up, you could apply and qualify for renewal for another twelve months for your next app development project.

ISV Success helps partners meet new Azure IP co-sell requirements by upgrading existing listings to transactable, and generating marketplace billed sales, which offer an accelerated path to unlock advanced partner co-sell benefits such as accessing a customer's cloud consumption commitments (MACC), and seller incentives.
How do I get a Partner Development Manager (PDM)?
Microsoft engages some marketplace partners with additional staff, a Partner Development Manager or PDM, through several initiatives based on varying criteria. Generally, these are invitation only opportunities to get a Partner Development Manager and are not open to self-nomination for a Parter Development Manager (PDM).
What is the Transact and Grow Incentive?
The Marketplace Transact and Grow Incentive Campaign is a campaign to reward publishers for driving sales of transactable offers on Microsoft commercial marketplace. Participants can earn cash rewards when reaching billed sales milestones. You won't receive an email confirmation until the second step is completed of completing enrollment in Partner Center. If you believe that you've completed both steps of completing an ISV Success Application and completing enrollment in Partner Center and still haven't received a confirmation email, send an email to appbldr@microsoft.com with a detailed explanation including your Microsoft Partner ID to allow the team to investigate and expect a response within two business days.

If you enrolled in ISV Success and still see the sign-up button on Partner center, it means that you haven't completed the enrollment steps. Click on the sign-up button and complete the enrollment flow, which may include steps required within the Account settings section of Partner Center to complete ISV Success enrollment.
