Feature details
When monitoring critical events with Power BI, it’s important that the data is reflected in Power BI as soon as the data source gets updated. For example, in the manufacturing industry, it's critical to know when a particular machine is malfunctioning. Report authors using a DirectQuery source will be able to set the refresh interval of visuals in their report. For very fast updating sources, this near real-time experience will allow users to monitor time-critical reports and ensure that they are always viewing the latest.
