Business value
With Dataverse search enabled, global search within Power Apps portals will be consistent with the search within Microsoft Power Platform and provide enhanced capabilities.
Feature details
In this release, the portals global search experience will provide an option to use Dataverse search for searching records across multiple tables and columns while remaining consistent with applying the portals search configuration and security permissions.
Eventually, this experience will become the default search experience for Power Apps portals. It will replace the current search (based on Lucene.NET) with the new capabilities for intelligent search in future releases.
