Represents properties that are descriptive of a user in a tenant.

Description

Represents properties that are descriptive of a user in a tenant.

Permissions

Permission type Permissions (from least to most privileged)
Delegated (work or school account) User.Read, User.ReadWrite.All, User.ReadWrite, User.ReadBasic.All, User.Read.All,
Delegated (personal Microsoft account) User.Read, User.ReadWrite,
Application User.Read.All, User.ReadWrite.All,

Examples

Example 1: GET a user's profile


Import-Module Microsoft.Graph.Beta.People

# A UPN can also be used as -UserId.
Get-MgBetaUserProfile -UserId $userId

This example will get a user's profile

Example 2: Expand names and skills collection and select properties within the entities


Import-Module Microsoft.Graph.Beta.People

# A UPN can also be used as -UserId.
Get-MgBetaUserProfile -UserId $userId -ExpandProperty "names(`$select=first,last),skills(`$select=displayName)"

This example will expand names and skills collection and select properties within the entities
