Use this form to set up reducing balance factors by service life (RB/SL) for an asset.

Note

(FRA) This form is available only to legal entities whose primary address is in France.

Example

Suppose a fixed asset with an acquisition price is placed in service on February 10, 2011, and is depreciated over five years using the RB/SL method. The following table displays the depreciation amounts and book value for the asset for each year.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Fields

Field	Description
From date	The date that is used during fixed asset depreciation to select the correct factor.
Years	Years of the service life that are compared to each fixed asset depreciation period to select the correct factor.
Months	Additional months of the service life that are compared to each fixed asset depreciation period to select the correct factor.
RB/SL factor	The factor that the percentage for monthly reducing balance depreciation is calculated from.
